Employer Property and Inspections
Lockers, desks, vehicles, file cabinets, electronic equipment and systems are Company property and must be maintained according to Company policies and applicable rules and regulations. They must be kept clean and are to be used only for work-related purposes. The Company reserves the right to inspect all Company property to ensure compliance with its policies and applicable rules and regulations, without notice to the employee and/or in the employee’s absence. You should not expect any privacy in the use of any Company property or when the Company initiates a workplace investigation or business-related monitoring activity.
Prior authorization must be obtained before any Company property may be removed from the premises. Employees are required to treat all of the Company’s property with respect. An employee’s personal property, including but not limited to, pockets in clothing, vehicles, packages, purses and backpacks, may be inspected upon reasonable suspicion of violation of the Company’s drug and alcohol policies, or reasonable suspicion of unauthorized possession of Company or client property. Entry onto Company property or other workplace settings, including without limitation a client’s home, is deemed consent to an inspection of a person, vehicle, and/or personal property. Employees who refuse to cooperate with work-related monitoring or inspection may be disciplined up to and including termination of employment.
