PTC.8 - Open Door Policy

The Company has an “open door” policy and actively promotes communications as a means of solving problems. You are encouraged to share your concerns, seek information, provide input, consult with and resolve problems and issues through your direct Supervisor, or as appropriate, any person who is in the management of the Company. Your direct Supervisor is expected to listen to your concerns, to encourage input and to seek resolution to problems and issues. If you are not satisfied with the response, or if you are unable to discuss the matter with the Manager (if he/she is the problem, for example), then the matter should be discussed with the Owner of the Company. An immediate, thorough, and confidential investigation and evaluation will be undertaken to resolve the situation.

The Company is always looking for suggestions from its employees that improve policies and procedures, working conditions or help reduce costs or errors. If you have any suggestions or ideas that you believe would benefit the Company, you are encouraged and expected to discuss these suggestions or ideas with your Supervisor or the relevant person.  Additionally, we have a safety suggestion box at the front desk in our office for you to offer suggestions.  Your suggestion may be anonymous or you may include your name on it.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you are reporting discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, retaliation, workplace violence or safety incidents, you must follow the reporting procedures outlined in the relevant policies in this Handbook.
