  Welcome to ComForCare!

Greetings and welcome to RHM Services, LLC DBA ComForCare Home Care (the “Company”) and DBA ComForCare Home Health (the “Company”)!  This Handbook describes some of the expectations of our employees and provides general information about many of each Company’s employment-related policies, programs and employee benefits.  It is not intended to be a legal contract, statement of benefits nor a comprehensive explanation of our personnel policies and practices.

The policies and programs outlined in this Handbook are those presently in effect.  These policies and employment-related benefits and programs supersede and replace any and all prior policies and programs, whether written or unwritten, concerning the same or similar subject. Either Company may implement changes to, or deviate from, the policies in this Handbook immediately, without advance notice, whenever the Company, acting through its owners or their designees, believes it is necessary or desirable to do so.  Only the Company’s owners, Ryan & Hayley Murray (“Owner”), are authorized to revise, delete or otherwise change written policies, and to make the final determination in interpreting or applying policies.

The policies and programs described in this Handbook are for employees who serve as either a personal care attendant (“PCA”) for ComForCare Home Care Company, a home health aide (“HHA”) for ComForCare Home Health Company, or in a PRN position for either company.  Sometimes employees work for both Companies.  Policies in this Handbook that use the term “employee” will apply to employees who work for either Company or both Companies.  Policies in this Handbook that apply only to PCAs will use the term “PCA employee(s);” policies that apply only to HHAs will use the term “HHA employee(s).”

It is obviously not possible to anticipate every question that might arise in the course of the employment relationship. While this Handbook provides information about topics most often of interest to employees, a question may arise on occasion that is not addressed in the Handbook.  If this occurs, an employee should refer to his/her Manager for clarification.  For ComForCare Home Care Company, the term “Manager” is used throughout this Handbook to refer to that Company’s Administrator.  For ComForCare Home Health Company, the term “Manager” is used throughout this Handbook to refer to that Company’s Administrator, Director of Nursing (DON), and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).  The term “Supervisor” is used throughout this Handbook to refer to the Scheduler who directs your work, but also to the administrative employee(s) on staff who also have authority to supervise you.

While every effort is made to keep the contents of this document current, please understand that circumstances may arise that require changes in the policies, practices and benefits described in this Handbook.  Accordingly, the Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, deviate from, or terminate any of the policies, procedures and/or benefits described in the Handbook with or without prior notice to employees. Changes made in writing will be effective on the dates determined by the Company, and after those dates all prior policies on the same or similar subject will be invalid.

Franchise Relationship Statement

Although the Company uses the “ComForCare” name and logo, RHM Services, LLC and Franchisor are completely separate and, as mentioned above, only RHM Services, LLC is your employer.  Franchisor is not your employer. Employees should also understand that:
