Bereavement Leave
Employees are entitled to two (2) unpaid days off for the death of an immediate family member with the approval of the Company. A “family member” includes the following:
● Spouse or domestic partner (defined as same-sex or opposite-sex couples who have registered with any state or local government domestic partnership registry);
● Parent or parent-in-law;
● Brother or sister;
● Brother-in-law or sister-in-law;
● Child or step-child;
● Grandparent or grandchild.
The Company may, at its discretion, provide additional time off, although any additional time off will also be without pay, unless the employee uses Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits. Only excused absences will be considered exceptions to this policy.
