Tuberculosis (TB) Screening


All employees will be required to show baseline proof of negative TB screening and testing upon hire prior to face-to-face interaction with clients. TB screening and testing will be done in accordance with CDC standards for health care personnel. A positive TB test will require the employee to provide a chest x-ray to rule out TB disease. The form enclosed in the orientation packet will be utilized during the orientation process in order to assist in accurate documentation of baseline TB testing. TB baseline test results will be stored in the employee’s confidential medical personnel file.

 

Thereafter, the Company will adhere to annual TB symptom screening and education protocols, in compliance with the most current CDC standards for health care personnel.  An employee will be required to have an updated TB test upon known TB exposure. If the TB test is positive, a negative x-ray is required.
